    Description

    Up for sale is 1 Consort Black Currant or Ribes ussuriense, a healthy, well rooted live plant. The plant that you'll recieve is approximately 8"-11" inches tall and will look similar but not exactly like the plants pictured in the first 4 pictures of the listing since no two plants are alike. Plant being shipped out is a mature plant that should fruit during next year's growing season. Please note that Item will be shipped bare root.
    Plant has been responsibly grown using NO harmful chemicals or pesticides.
    Here is some important information about black currants:
    *Consort is a European variety that was bred in Canada and selected for it's immunity to white pine blister rust.
    *Fruit: Very prominent, sweet and unique flavor.
    *Fruiting time: June
    *Yield: Very heavy producing plant.
    *Mature Height: 4' to 6' feet tall.
    *Uses: Good for jams, juice, wine or added to baked goods. Excellent when dried.
    *pH preferred: 5.5-6.5
    *Very high source of Vitamin C.
    *Hardy to USDA zones 3-8.
    When your plant arrives, please make sure you remoisten the bag with perlite, and let it sit in a shaded area away from direct sunlight for at least one day to get the plant stabilized from the stress of being stored in a box for several days during shipping. Then plant can be planted in it's new home. These plants do well in both containers or planted in the ground.
