    This is a Dwarf Coreopsis wildflower, so it grows lower to the ground.
    Throughout history, the emetic qualities of the roots were used in medicine. Roots were boiled into a tea for diarrhea. The whole plant was boiled to make a drink for internal pains and bleeding. The non-toxic, dried tops in a tea are said to strengthen blood & make for an excellent coffee substitute. The entire flower is edible.
