Tomatillo plants make the neatest looking fruits...wrapped in a paper lantern-style covering, they are naturally protected from the elements. This variety is an heirloom vegetable seed, cherished by home gardeners and chefs alike; it is the primary ingredient in green (verde) salsa. Use tomatillos like you would tomatoes...sliced, cooked, or enjoy fresh. Note, the fruit is edible, not the husk.
Germination Instructions: Plant seeds 1/4 into the soil, lightly covering. Take care not to over water the seeds (use a mister so the seeds don't sink too far down when watering) however do keep the seeds and the soil moist. Soil should be 70-85 degrees. If the ground is not this warm outside, start the seeds indoors to better control temperature conditions. In ideal conditions, expect germination time to take 2- 6 weeks.
