    HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
    The Jamborette was established to commemorate the transfer of Okinawan Boy Scouts to Boy Scouts of Nippon (BSN) in 1972.
    Prior to that time, the Okinawan Boy Scouts were part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
    The first Jamborette was held in 1973.
