Trim no more than 25% of the tree per year. The best time to prune is in spring. Perform deep-watering treatments once a month. Avoid watering the foliage by watering near the root system. Fertilize once a year in late winter or early spring.
    Germination Procedure:
Soak seeds for 24 hours in water. Place seeds in moist paper towel and cold stratify in the freezer for 30 days. Sow seeds 1/16th of an inch into the soil in 65-70 degree temperatures. Ensure the soil is kept moist. Tip: Add a thin layer of mulch to keep soil moist.
