Item was attached to of an old Intel Pentium II based ASUS P2B motherboard with a fresh install of Windows 98.
BIOS did not recognize any additional IDE components.
Tape drive did not change status when power was applied to the motherboard.
Tried another molex connector from the power supply with the same results.
Again,
because of this, the item is being listed as a
non-functioning item for parts or  possible repair
.
