Beautiful Mosser (Marked) Vaseline Glass Grand Piano Candy Dish Violin & Flowers

Description

This is a beautiful piece of Mosser vaseline glass. It is a candy dish (or dresser powder jar) in the shape of a grand piano. It is decorated all over with a raised design. The lid has a line of beading around the edge and flowers surrounding a violin in the middle. The sides have a row of roses with bow details above a line of beading. The bows look like they have something prism shaped underneath (difficult to see in the pictures, best seen in the middle in picture 6). The three legs are decorated with beading and there is a decorative tab where the pedals would be beneath the keys (pictures 4 and 5). The underside is pebbled and marked with an "M" in the center (see picture 9). It fluoresces brightly under black light (see insert in first picture).
There is a tiny flat spot on the upper outside corner of the base that could be a defect from the mold or a very tiny chip (see last picture). It is at the back corner of the piano and is very small and difficult to see from angles other than that of the picture. It feels like a smooth dimple but I cannot guarantee it isn't a chip as I cannot tell even looking at it under magnification. There is an approximately 1" long imperfection in the glass on the underside of the lid as shown in picture 11 (across the bottom part of the violin). It is a line indentation in the surface that can be felt and is not a crack and does not extend down into the glass. There are two similar imperfections inside the piano, one that is about 1" long and is shown in picture 10, and one that is about 1/2" long and is not pictured. The second one is in the narrow area at the back of the piano and I could not get it to show up in a picture. Both imperfections are line indentations in the surface that can be felt but are not cracks and do not extend down into the glass.
It is approximately 3.5" tall, 4" wide, and 6" long. It will be insured for shipping.
