passion
vine. Not only
does
it
attract butterflies
, it also has exotic
flowers
that
attract
hummingbirds and pollinators. They made use of almost all the plant parts, including roots,

, leaves and fruit.
Vines can reach 30 feet in height and 5 feet in width. Passiflora develops evergreen, glossy, 3-, 7- or 9-lobed leaves. Curled tendrils can be seen at the base of each leaf. Passiflora develops large, showy flowers that can reach 3 to 8 inches in diameter.

ll share exotic flowers that remain open for only about a day. The flower has a wide, flat petal base with five or 10 petals in a flat or reflex circle. Passionflowers are rapid growers and are best planted in spring or early fall while it's still warm. Blue Passion Flower Germination:
1)
Scarify them by rubbing with sandpaper.
2)
Soak them for one to two days in warm water. Change water daily.
3)
Use a heated propagator.
The
seeds
need
heat
to
sprout
. Ideally the
temperature
during the night should be 68 degrees Fahrenheit, and the daytime
temperature
should be 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Keeping the
temperature
a constant 79 degrees Fahrenheit works well too.
4)
Place the well-soaked
seeds
on the surface of damp potting mix, pat down, but Do Not Cover since they Need Light to
germinate
.
5)
Seeds heated with a propagator to the proper temperature, most seeds will sprout within 2 weeks, while some can take up to 10 weeks so a bit of patience will be required as with any Exotic seeds.
