    Description

    Butterfly Pea
    (
    Centrosema Virginianum
    )
    The Butterfly Pea vine has always been one of our favorites!
    We have collected 3 cousin species of seed on fishing trip on the East Coast of Florida.
    After planting all of the seed we physically could in spring of 2021, we didn't get to planting the Butterfly Pea.
    There is always next year!
    Well, this Florida Native has surprisingly popped up all over our farm! These flowers are everywhere!
    We still have a few cousin varieties (FL Natives) to plant, but these are native to North Florida.
    The Butterfly Pea is a tiny vine that starts sprouting and running in the late spring.
    Many purple flowers will bloom in June. Bees love getting all of the way inside of this flower to do their pollen dance!
    These seeds were harvested August 2021
