    A dwarf, red variety of the native prairie flower also known as Calliopsis grows only about a
    foot tall. One of the great things about a dwarf flower is that they do not generally require
    any staking, and so will stand upright better than the taller counterpart.
    Excellent cut flower, good for low-lying or soggy areas like ditches. Also is okay when the
    ground gets dry. Produces a profusion of blooms all summer. Will grow in sandy or rocky soil.
    Easy to grow even for the beginner gardener. Comes with planting instructions.
