Green Mountain Potato Onion, seeds or bulbs.
Potato onions (also known as multiplier onion) are a variety of Allium similar to a shallot but producing larger bulbs. Green Mountain onions are similar to the more common multiplier onion varieties except they are lighter in color and grow to be much larger. They are typically grown from bulbs but can also be grown from seed. Plant bulbs either in the fall or in the spring and in mid summer harvest several onions from each bulb planted. I've been growing these onions organically on my Kansas farm for a number of years and have found them to be very easy to grow and harvest and they produce very reliably.
