JUBAEA - CHILEAN WINE PALM SEEDLINGS THREE PACK

Description

This listing is for a 3-pack of jubaea chilensis, Chilean wine palm, seedlings.  These were sown 2020 and are ready to be transplanted to a larger container.
These measure from 8 inches to over 14 inches tall from soil surface.  You will receive a pack of three, freshly unearthed and shipped bare root, wrapped in  moist paper towel and plastic.
These are notorious for slow germination and growth.  If you want to bypass the seeds and get right to a live plant, here is your chance.  Very difficult and expensive to find as they get larger.  These are ready for tree pots or larger.  Very thick and wiry roots need ample room for sustained growth.  A one gallon nursery pot may be too small for the roots.
Slowly acclimate to full sun to avoid burning. I use plenty of water when these guys are young.  They will grow faster and larger when planted close to water source or with frequent watering.  Once older and fully established,  they can tolerate drier conditions.
I grow them outside here in the California Central Valley year-round, even with temps down into the mid to upper 20's.  They may need some protection from cold when younger, but seem to always survive just fine here.
Your seedlings will be shipped usps first class mail,  properly wrapped and packaged for safe shipping.  Do not allow them to sit in a hot mail box for long.  Plant as soon as you receive them.  Palm and cactus potting mix is adequate.  Try sitting the roots in a bucket of water for a few minutes prior to planting.
