WHAT’S NEW FROM LAND ROVER FOR 2007
FLAGSHIP RANGE ROVER UPGRADED WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY AND AN ENHANCED INTERIOR; AWARD-WINNING LR3 AND HOT RANGE ROVER SPORT EVEN MORE REFINED
Land Rover, the most prestigious name in sport utility vehicles, enters 2007 with the freshest and most complete luxury range ever, rising sales and a growing family.
Last year, the flagship Range Rover benefited from two new engine options, including a 400 bhp Supercharged V8. This year, a thoroughly redesigned cabin brings major gains in convenience, enhanced climate control, added comfort, and an improved interior appearance. Land Rover’s exclusive Terrain Response™ system, first introduced on the LR3 is now standard on all Range Rover models.
Land Rover entered the competitive high-performance SUV category with the new-for-2006 Range Rover Sport. Offering Land Rover’s Terrain Response™ system with a Supercharged V8 engine and Dynamic Response technology, it established a new standard for SUV agility.
For 2007, several new items have been added to the Range Rover Sport’s already extensive list of standard and optional equipment.
    The LR3, winner of
    Motor Trend’s
prestigious SUV of the Year award for 2005, revolutionized the mid-priced SUV category with its impressive technology and sophistication. Refinements for 2007 include elevated standard trim, several convenience improvements, and altered option-package content.
The recently unveiled LR2 joins Land Rover North America’s lineup in the spring of 2007 as a 2008 model.
    Range Rover
Land Rover’s most luxurious and complete offering blends renowned on- and off-road breadth of capability with the industry’s most sumptuous interiors. Comfort and capability both rise this year thanks to a comprehensively redesigned cabin. Twin glove boxes, new cup holders, and an improved center console enhance convenience. The new dash, which is more attractively finished with premium wood and metal trim, features more intuitively positioned and improved switchgear. Side airbags have been relocated to the seat backs for better performance, the passenger-side frontal airbag has been redesigned, and there’s a new driver's knee airbag to help protect the driver from collision injury.
The new climate control system has expanded capability for better comfort with lower noise. Cooled-air ventilated front seats are a new option (standard on Supercharged model) while heated seats are now standard on all models.
Land Rover’s patented Terrain Response™ system is a new Range Rover feature in 2007.
The driver simply turns a knob to a choice of five settings to tailor the powertrain, suspension, and electronic systems to the particular off-road driving conditions.
An electronic rear differential is now standard on the Supercharged model and available as an option on the naturally aspirated V8.
The fully equipped naturally aspirated Range Rover HSE is priced at ,250 while the Supercharged model costs ,750*.
    Range Rover Sport
SUV owners with a passion for driving are well served by the Range Rover Sport’s capable blend of power and handling prowess. This Land Rover thrives on long distances, high speeds, and varying road surfaces.
Changes for 2007 include the addition of a Personal Telephone Integration System with Bluetooth
    ®
capability as standard, one-touch operation for the front passenger’s power window, and a clock function added to the driver’s message center. SIRIUS satellite radio is now standard on the Supercharged V8. Customers who opt for the Supercharged model may choose between light Cherry or dark Oak wood accents, LUX or sporty Supercharged-unique leather upholstery, and optional Stormer 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
The Range Rover Sport HSE costs ,950 while the Range Rover Sport Supercharged has a 2007 MSRP of ,250*.
    LR3
Earning a mass of international awards bestowed by hard-nosed industry critics, Land Rover’s attractively priced LR3 is on a mission. Practically unstoppable off-road strengths coexist amicably with poised on-road performance and available seven-passenger seating. For 2007, leather trim, a power sunroof, and a 240-watt harman/kardon
    ®
nine-speaker sound system are all standard equipment. All V8 models are now equipped with three-row, seven-passenger seating. Aluminum-alloy wheels fitted to the V6 SE are a new design this year. A power lumbar adjuster has been added to the driver’s seat while the front passenger-side power window responds to one touch.
Power seat adjusters operate when the ignition switch is in the off position. For lane-change convenience, a new three-flash position has been incorporated in the turn-signal switch.
To supplement the time display in the radio, a clock has been added to the driver’s information center in the instrument cluster.
Base price for the 2007 LR3 V6 SE is ,150.
The V8 SE costs ,950 while the V8 HSE has an MSRP of ,950*.
All 2007 Land Rovers are backed by a four-year/50,000-mile New-Vehicle Limited Warranty, a six-year/unlimited-mileage Corrosion Perforation Limited Warranty, and Land Rover 24-hour Roadside Assistance. All feature complimentary scheduled maintenance for the New-Vehicle Limited Warranty term.
