Music Hall MMF 7 Turntable, excellent condition,Ortofon 2M Red Cartridge.
Decided to sell one of my turntables simply because five turntables is a bit too many. Here is some history on this one: I am the second owner and bought this one almost fifteen years ago,and nothing but joy. Originally it came with broken counterweight shaft which is made of dense plastic but a dash of Superglue cured that and it never gave me any problems. One of the headshell wires has been loose(white one) and I just added a dash of solder and it is as good as new). Motor came without original base and back then MMF didn't want to sell base separately so I had to improvise,so I bought two pieces of thick sorbotane and put them together and the height is just perfect plus it does suppress the vibration better than original base.If you want to get a new original base,it is I believe around online.
Cosmetically in great condition with usual swirl marks on the acrylic cover but nothing major. I used an antistatic brush which will be included, the base is attached to the plinth and grounded via turntable ground post.The tonearm is Pro-Ject 9" one,it is NOT later series carbon one,which you can also buy on line for around 0 if you wish to upgrade.
I will include,but not install, Ortofon 2M red cartridge with low hours- you will have o install and adjust the cartridge for your needs.
So it will come as: complete turntable, motor with two sorbotane base pieces,belt ( practically new,with less than 100 hours),original adjustable feet,low hours Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge, antistatic brush, original screw on clamp (will help you flatten warped records), small plastic tool to change the speed of the motor( do not handle belt with bare hands or it will deteriorate because oils on your skin),counterweight and anti-skate weight, original felt mat,and a power source. I do believe that I still have the manual and if I find it I will include it in the sale.
I do not have an original box,but I am not planning on shipping it. This listing for local pick up ONLY!Sorry,but turntables are very fragile and I had very bad experience couple of times when purchasing turntables,sellers had no idea how to pack and I got only bits and pieces of what were great turntables. So, from personal experience- NO SHIPPING!
