Culantro
(
Eryngium foetidum
L., Apiaceae) is a biennial herb native to continental Tropical America and the West Indies. This herb is widely used in dishes throughout the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Far East. It is often mistaken and misnamed for its close relative cilantro or coriander (
Coriandrum sativum
). As companion plants around the garden have reportedly provided excellent defense against aphids. Widely use in Puerto Rican and Latin American dishes.
Mince culantro is perfect for Mexican Salsa dish.
Planting instructions included.
PLEASE READ!!!!!VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
Eryngium foetidum seeds have a lifespan of two years and a germination rate of aproximately 30 days, they won't germinate if you don't follow the instruccions included with the seeds, or if you follow your "own instructions because you are a good gardener". Their germination rate won't change because you want them to germinate fast.
The reason I recommend Miracle Gro soil is because it has some products added to the soil that help germination.
You can also bust germination if you soak them in a solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide (the peroxide we use for wounds).
Simply add 1 ounce of 3-percent peroxide to 1 pint of water, pour some of this solution in a cup and add your seeds. Let them soak 18-24 hours, dry them and plant.

I accept PayPal.

Remember this is a tropical plant grown by me in the mountains of Puerto Rico where temperatures are mild. If temperatures in your area are above 50ºF and below 90ºF, there should be no problems, plants will be OK.
I ship orders on Mondays. I
will send your order on the next shipping Monday after your payment has been received.
Note:
Successful plant and seed growing depend on multiple factors: climate, soil, light, heat, water, humidity and fertilizers. I will add to this equation the fight against insects, viruses, and fungi. I won't take responsibility for errors in your planting abilities.
