Description

Rare terrestrial orchid tuber of Pleione praecox. This deciduous species grows natively in the Indian Himalayas. It is in active growth from spring to early fall, during which they need 55-85 deg F temps and 50% shade. In fall they drop leaves becoming dormant, and need dryish conditions and /or good drainage. Winter temperatures need to be cool, at least in low 50's and dry bulbs have survived temperatures in the 20's. Blooming is in fall.
