PLEASE NOTE: This jewelry set is made by hand from start to finish. It can require up to 4-6 weeks for me to complete with the care and attention required for a set such as this.
For your consideration is a fabulous jadite glass jewelry set that's totally handmade and repurposed from broken true vintage McKee and Jeannette jadite uranium glass. I make this from pieces already broken glass. I do not break pieces on purpose to make these items.
The glass pieces are hand cut cabochons and fitted into 925 sterling silver settings. The set includes a necklace, bracelet, ring, and earrings. Descriptions are as follows -
Necklace - Pendant measures 20x15mm and the chain is 18 inches in length. I can do a longer chain if desired, just let me know.
Earrings - Pierced hooks that are hypoallergenic, nickel/lead free, etc. They are lightweight. The glass cabs measure 14x12mm and the dangle is 1 1/4 inches.
Ring - I can make the ring to any size. I will message you for size upon ordering. The glass is a nice size at 20x15mm and the ring sits 12mm off the finger. I do have different ring designs and sizes I can do with this set, just send me a message if you want something different. If you don't know your ring size, send me a message when you purchase and I'll mail you a ring sizer.
Bracelet - Beautiful filigree work. A cuff-type with an extendable chain. Measures 7" fully closed with another 1.5" chain extension available. It features a lovely large stone that measures 30x22mm.
This set is a treasure for any lover of jadite or uranium glass.
Your purchase comes with a keychain blacklight.

Uranium glass is glass made with up to 2% uranium dioxide for color. The uranium content causes the glass to fluoresce bright green under a UV blacklight. It is very slightly radioactive and will register on a Geiger counter. Most jewelry pieces will register just above background radiation, enough to show true uranium content yet safety for wearing. The uranium glass in jewelry is the same glass found in the depression-era glassware that is popular with collectors.
Uranium glass is identified with a UV blacklight, and it's only uranium glass if the item is truly glass, not another material, and glows the telltale bright neon green. If a piece of glass fluoresces bright green then it contains uranium. No other material or element *in glass* has that effect. Other jewelry materials such as resin, plasic, enamel, paint, acrylic, some gemstones, and even adhesive under a rhinestone can glow like uranium, so it is imperative for a collector of such glass in jewelry to make sure the glowing item is truly glass. Sometimes an item can glow a dull green rather than bright neon, and that is due to manganese rather than uranium.
