MWTSS offers custom configured rackmounts for all Storagetek tape drives.  MidWest Technical offers Fibre, ESCON or Ficon interface rackmount solutions to accommodate Storagetek/Sun/Oracle 9840 or 9940 tape drives.  Refurbished tested tape drives are integrated into rackmount enclosure.  Includes two power supplies. Although one does not have to be an electrical engineer to install data storage devices into a rackmount enclosure, knowing which parts are needed can be a challenge.  Rackmount device installation requires having specific tools/testing equipment, identifying SCSI pin-outs for drive identification, extending wires, utilizing correct mounting hardware to ensure adequate air flow and proper pass-thru ports: SCSI or Fibre Channel.  Our experience has led us to believe that not having the right equipment can be problematic for many people.  With the hectic pace of business environments today, a lot of people are looking for one-stop solutions, not additional projects.
