    Description

    Thimbleberry
    (Rubus parviflorus)
    Large, lush attractive thornless plants.
    Can grow to 6' tall, Soft leaves resemble maple.
    Raspberry like fruits are soft, and taste excellent.
    Great for making jams.
    Rubus family seeds (raspberry & blackberry types) have a hard shell and need special care to germinate.
    Basically.....
    Stratify
    - refrigerate for 1-3 months (this has already been done before you receive them)
    Scarify
    - Place in Hot (not boiling) water, let cool off & soak for 24hr, or "scar" the outer shell slightly with sandpaper, or soak in bleach for several hrs, then rinse.
    Sow
    - plant 1/4" deep in good soil in warm, moist conditions
    They make take several weeks or longer to sprout, be patient & do not let them dry out!
