Its native range is from the Indian Subcontinent to Indo-China. Some familiar names are Guduchi, Heart-Leaved Moonseed, and Giloy. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. This is not an immunity booster. It is a deciduous climbing shrub with twining branches. The leaves are alternate around 6 inches long. The small flowers are yellow-green with six petals in bloom from late winter until early spring. The berries are deep red when they are ripe.
