MDF
vibration isolation platform base is constructed of 1.5"  MDF, which is used by several turntable manufactures for the plinth and even the platter because of its acoustically neutral properties.
The surface of the platform base is coated in a black rubber-based sound absorbing spray material. Our most popular model.
Deluxe MDF
The Deluxe Melody platform is 2.25" thick with greater mass to further absorb vibrations. It is finished in the same coating as the standard Original MDF VIP.
Deluxe with Lead Core
This Deluxe Melody platform is 2.25" thick with a lead shot center core and much greater mass to further absorb vibrations. It is finished in the same coating as the standard MDF VIP.

pure Sorbothane, which will isolate up to 94.7% of acoustic vibration from the surface where your turntable is placed.

that displaces like a liquid under load.
