    Vintage Boy Scout Neckerchief - Melita Island - Western Montana Council This neckerchief is prior to the merging of the 4 councils in Montana to a single council. I had the opportunity to spend many summers at Melita Island and OA events. This neckerchief is sometime prior to 1973 and I likely purchased it in 1972.The Montana Council was formed in 1973 as the result of a merger of four councils: Western Montana, Yellowstone Valley, North Central Montana and Vigilante Council.
