Vintage red bakelite Scarf clip ring

Description

Vintage red bakelite scarf ring clip.  Please note there is a small chip on the back on an edge - shown in last photo.
There is some normal scuffs, seen if light hits at correct angle.  This is a beautiful, apple red.  I believe this was used to thread a
scarf through it to keep it in place?
Measures approx. 3" x 2 1/2".  Simichrome tested.
Other than noted, is in very good condition and looks marvelous.
