VPI SDS Synchronous Drive System, Like New.
We're retiring our audio studio after 20 years, and its equipment is up for sale.  The SDS was maintained in our climate-controlled and smoke-free studio.  Input power was Tripp-Lite protected, and the entire studio had a quiet ground.
We purchased the SDS new from Music Direct in 2010 for use with a VPI HW-19 turntable.  The SDS has performed perfectly, and allowed us to set the disc rotation speed very accurately, as well as provide clean AC power to the turntable. (we mostly did analog-to-digital conversions).
The SDS can be used for any turntable with an AC synchronous motor; these are very often belt-driven turntables.  [ If you're not using a VPI turntable, refer to the Instruction Manual for precautions. ] Included is the original VPI strobe disc for rotation speed calibration; the only thing you'd need is a strobe, such as the KAB SpeedStrobe at www.kabusa.com.
VPI is unusual in that you can call them on the telephone and speak with the administrator, or even one of the engineers.  At least, that's how it was a few years ago...
The original Setup and Instruction Manual, AC power cord, and VPI shipping box are also included.  The SDS is in perfect cosmetic condition as well (no scratches or abrasions).
